It’s stupid and pointless but clearly it’s more trouble than it’s worth to constantly get pestered by Haruhi and constantly have to refuse. While it may be rather embarrassing… it’s just not worth it, and he’d prefer if he could just get her the hell off his back so he can move on with his life (kind of). So it's about time that he goes ahead and gets it over with. Haruhi said he had to do this publicly, so fine. Journals it is. Like hell he's going to stand around and shout that outside. She also said he had to do it loudly though, so...]

[Valentine's Day, huh. A day for couples to spend time together...! And it seems like loads of people are doing that in these past two days. It is the time for love, but... Even then, it still does seem at least a little strange. Especially the sudden relationship between Naoi and Yuri. Little does he know, apparently a lot happened between those two in the past couple of days...
Aside from that though, February 14th has another meaning to Otonashi. Though he's not really sure how something like that works in Luceti, especially considering the fact that he never even thought of it in the afterlife before coming here... Welp. He's curious. May as well see what other people think about it.]
So... How exactly do birthdays work in Luceti? Time works differently here, and when I arrived, it was a completely different time of year than it was back at home. So does that change anything?
[After making his entry and being witness to HIDEOUS, TERRIBLE, AND UNBELIAVABLE THINGS in the house, he decides to go out for some air because wow what even just happened. Naoi proposing to Yuri... no that is not a thing. Never. Nope.
He'll encounter something -- or rather, someone -- on his way out and around though. And after then? He'll be walking around looking pretty happy! Could it be... he found someone to share his heart with?!

Otonashi is going to try to move on with his day as normally as possible, but he can't help but wonder what the hell is going on. All of these people don't have wings... Maybe they're NPCs from the afterlife?! Or something.. Then again, this is Luceti, and lots of weird things happen here. Regardless. Yeah. Trying to not be mindfucked about this all day.

There sure are a lot of Christmas lights around, aren't there? It's almost to the point where it's kinda hard to sleep with all of the light.
[He laughs a bit, glancing around at the lights nearby. They're kind of nostalgic. Just... not completely nostalgic in a good way. Of course, it is nice to see all of the pretty and cheerful lights around -- especially seeing as how Otonashi hasn't been able to celebrate the holidays in a while -- but he can't help but associate them at least a little bit with some other bad event that had happened in his life. You know, when he was alive. With that, he'll add--]
...Mmm.. Not to be a downer, but... Does anyone consider being here in Luceti a second chance? [He had discussed it with Naoi not that long ago, and it's pretty much just been on his mind ever since. But that's kinda an awkward and depressing subject, so he'll quickly change it.]

It's actually been some time since Otonashi arrived in Luceti, though seeing as how he has just woken up in Naoi's bed and got the rundown of the place from him right there... yeah, he didn't really need anymore explanations. Plus he's just been staying inside most of the time, trying to understand what exactly was going on here. I mean... he was just in the afterlife, dead. So what's he doing here? A second chance, maybe...? But even then, the idea of having wings like an angel just keeps throwing him off. Damn it. Figuring that it's probably best to just not dwell on it, he decides to go out and about the village for a bit!
